# Introduction

> Connect WhatsApp, message customers, and automate the same work from the GreenTick API.

GreenTick is the dashboard and API for a WhatsApp Business account. You connect the number through Meta, then use that number for contacts, templates, broadcasts, and live chat.

>
> WhatsApp only allows a free-form text reply inside the customer service window, which is 24 hours after the customer's last message. To start a conversation, or to message again after that window closes, send an approved template.
