# Add a payment method

> Add a card in Meta so template messages and broadcasts can send.

Meta bills template messages to the WhatsApp Business account. Until the account has a payment method, business-initiated templates, including [broadcasts](https://docs.greentick.ai/messaging/broadcasts.md), fail.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If broadcasts keep failing, check this first. A missing payment method is the most common cause.

## Add a card

**1. Open your number from GreenTick**

In [dashboard.greentick.ai](https://dashboard.greentick.ai/), open **WhatsApp Connections**, open your number, and click **Manage** to go to Meta Business Suite.

**2. Add a payment method**

In the billing section, click **Add Payment Method**. Choose **Debit or Credit Card** and click **Next**.

**3. Enter card details**

Fill in the name on the card, card number, expiry month and year, and CVV. Accept the terms and click **Save**.

**4. Verify with your bank**

Enter the one-time code from your bank, click **Verify**, then **Done**.

**5. Add billing information**

Fill in country, currency, time zone, business name, address, postcode, tax ID (GST number in India), and business purpose. Meta needs these for tax and compliance.

## Remove or switch a card

Click the three dots next to a card. Choose **Remove** to delete it, or **Set as default** to make it the main payment method.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This card pays Meta's message charges. Your GreenTick plan is billed separately in the dashboard. See [Plans](https://docs.greentick.ai/account/plans.md).
