# Create a business portfolio

> Create your Meta business portfolio and link your Facebook Page and Instagram account.

A Meta business portfolio is the first step toward the WhatsApp Business Platform. Your WhatsApp Business account, verification, and billing all sit inside it.

> Log in with the personal Facebook account of the business owner, not a team member's or agency's account.

## Create the portfolio

**1. Log in as the business owner**

Go to [business.facebook.com](https://business.facebook.com/) and log in with the business owner's Facebook account.

**2. Open Meta Business Suite**

You land on the Meta Business Suite home screen. Accept the terms if Meta asks.

**3. Create the portfolio**

Click **Create account** or **Get started**. Enter your business name, your name, and your business email address, then click **Submit**.

**4. Add your Facebook Page**

Select an existing Facebook Page or create one for the business. This links the page to the portfolio.

**5. Add your Instagram account (optional)**

Click **Add Instagram account**, sign in, and confirm. You can skip this and add it later from **Settings**.
